About Us
A Message from the CCMTA President
Welcome!
The Cypress Creek Music Teachers Association is an organization of over 25 professional music teachers dedicated to promoting excellence in music education through private and group teaching in Northwest Houston. CCMTA has been in existence as an association since 1979, and CCMTA teachers represent the following areas in the metroplex: Spring, Houston, Cypress, Jersey Village, Tomball, and The Woodlands.
CCMTA teachers provide students and their families diverse musical and educational experiences and assessment in solo performance, ensemble performance, theory, music history, composition, publication, and other activities offered through the Texas Music Teacher Association Student Affiliate.
CCMTA, a 501c3 non-profit organization, also offers competitions, recitals and festivals, designed for students of all levels of achievement.
CCMTA awards and scholarships, funded through private gifts and CCMTA activities include: The Don H. Harris Activity Awards, the Grants In-Aid Scholarship, the Memorial Summer Camp Scholarship, CCMTA Senior Awards, and the CCMTA Scholarship for students continuing their music education at the collegiate level.
We are indebted to all the teachers who went before us and paved the way so CCMTA could flourish. The standard has been set high.
We hope you enjoy visiting our website!
